About Me
Hi! ๐ My name is Alessandro Modica. I'm a Computer Engineering student at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
Born in 2003 in the beautiful metropolitan city of Milan, I'm passionate about math, computers, technology, design, and the ways in which these different paradigms interoperate. I'm a big fan of minimalism in UI/UX design and the potential to create powerful experiences that convey all information needed to the user without the need for an instruction manual.
I've created this blog primarily to improve on my writing, especially when tackling technical subjects. Here, I plan to share all sorts of experiences I've had with different aspects of tech: setting up services and integrating applications in my homelab, working on software projects (primarily in Python and JavaScript), along with posts about VR, videogames, open software, the Apple ecosystem, Linux and Windows. I hope you'll find something interesting and will have as much fun reading as I do writing!
In my free time I enjoy climbing (wish I had more time to climb outdoors โบ๏ธ). I have been playing the flute since I was 7 and I have a blast practicing on all sorts of music genres, from baroque music to jazz, and I especially have fun playing video game official soundtracks (OSTs), which leads to another passion of mineโgaming: my favorite games are The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Minecraft. Both have amazing soundtracks and I feel like music is always one of the aspects that stand out the most in any type of media.
